ICDA has unleashed campaign to eliminate violence against women in all its form. The organization has been performing three roles to eliminate violence against women. These roles are the remedial, the preventive and developmental. 56 no. of the aggrieved women have benefited directly through the counseling center of ICDA.

ICDA is offering free one-year computer education to
women/girls.The programme is stipendiary.Every student under the programme getRs.250/- P.M. as stipend. 82 no. of trainees have got placement in both formal and informal sectors. Dept. of Women & Child Development of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under NORAD Scheme, sponsored the entire
programme. |

VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS: |

It is observed that lack of access to vocational skills and training is one of the important factors under mining the economic value of adolescent girls. Moreover, a high rate of participation in the unorganized sectors and hazardous industries is also responsible for making them vulnerable to all kinds of exploitation. Realizing the importance of |

cultivating skills in the adolescent girls through need based vocational training ICDA has set up 2 nos. of girls tailoring training center, one at Gujidarada Grampanchayat and the other at Baudpur under Bhadrak Block of Bhadrak Dist. The adolescent girls are provided training at free of cost. |

WOMEN SELF HELP GROUP: |

The minority (Muslim) and scheduled caste women of Dhamnagar Block under Bhadrak District are organized by ICDA to form self help
group(SHG) in order to quicken the process of their social and economic development. The organization has formed 50 women SHG with around 750 members in them. A self-help group of ICDA usually consists of 12 to 20 women who came together to save or lend amongst themselves. |

This is done at an agreed rate of interest with the idea of inculcating financial discipline and freeing the members from other exorbitant sources of credit like village moneylenders. Also the organization is taking lead to establish link between Bank and Self Help Group, |

when the groups are matured enough to take an external financial assistance. At present the SHGs are motivated to such an extent that they procure work order from Block Development Office and execute the same in their respective areas. |
