Child Labour School:
Children in India were forced to work for living. ICDA has been making concerted effort to withdraw child labors from working place with a view to providing them formal and vocational education, nutrition and health care by enrolling them into ICDA run child labour school. As of now, 387no.of child labour were mainstreamed into Govt. schools after upgrading their necessary skills for mainstreaming.
Child Labour Mother’s Forum
Child labor mother's forum has been formed by ICDA in the form of women SHGs. These groups besides doing credit and thrift business are also generating awareness at their peer level against the employment of children.
Prevention of Child Abuse Day
19th Nov. is observed by ICDA as prevention of Child Abuse Day. Child employment, Child Trafficking, Child Prostitution, is the themes taken up for public debate and discussion on this Day. Massive Rally is being organized in Bhadrak to mark the Day. Students from colleges, schools, scouts & guides as well as local have extended their full cooperation to prevent child abuse in every form.
Observation of Child Labour Prevention Day
Child labor Prevention Day is observed on 30th April in every year in collaboration with District Labor Office, Govt. of Orissa. The Mothers of Child Labor were administered oath by the District Labor Officer to desist themselves from sending the children to work..
