| GENESIS |
The Foundation of ICDA was laid down
in the year 1995 by a group of researchers, who were out
to conduct survey on child labor and marginalized women
under the supervision of Dr. Jalaluddin Ahemad Khan.
They came in contact with the stark reality of
wretched life of low class and castes children and women
during the period of conducting survey. All
of them were shocked and moved from within and mooted
the idea of forming
Organization to render services for the up-liftment of
women, children and poor. After much deliberation the
name of the Organization was christened as
Institute
for Communication & Development
Action, in short-ICDA.
